This AIN will be the JOTY.
Goodbye Tumble, your time in the bracket has ended but to me you will always be one of the best jams they played all year.
@mamu guy id say it matters because its based on the results of thousands of fan votes over a whole month.

This doesn't look like it's going to be close unless you guys get those burner accounts going again. But this match-up doesn't matter though, does it? Neither of these belong in the final four. Bend Thatch, Boise Rosewood, Cleveland Torero, Milwaukee EMG and Madhuvan and GR Madhuvan were all worthy of JOTY. These two are not.

When I think of the idea of being a βhoseβ in the way that Carlos Santana described it, this AIN is the sort of jam he was talking about. The band finds this universal and timeless flow and just completely gets out of the way and lets it unfold in whatever way it will. The collective patience to not do something just for the sake of doing it, to let the jam go where it will, is so impressive, and even more so coming the day after the biggest show in their lives.

Tumble is great, though it stumbles (ha) at the end. AIN is solid throughout, with a much more engaging peak, but is, admittedly, a bit of a slow burn. AIN is my vote, but neither stands a chance against EMG in the semifinals.

Ok Music Snob Alertβ¦..
All are tricked, neither jam do anything. I guess ya must have had to been there.
Let me back myself up.
All I Need: I hear the beautiful build up jam. But the problem I have with build up jams is that they take forever to get good. So yes itβs starts slow. This is about the time I grab a cigarette in the lawn, and I donβt smoke even smoke. (Anymore haha). By 11 min its worth a listen, then your into the peak which is always bliss. Something we hear every set closer to encore. Sway in the tree jams are not for me. It was at least united. Unlike this next one.
Then we get Tumble, that i voted for. It also was a build up jam, but it at least has a promising first jam then got swayy again to build up to a final 4 min that were disjointed and odd placed finish. Tumble get it only cuz of the promising start.
I wonβt be voting either thru in final 4.
Sorry not sorry.
Disclaimer: even a bad Goose show is still the best day of your life. π

I was at the Westville show and thought that AIN was the highlight of the show. However after listening to this Tumble before each roundβs vote, it keeps getting better and has overcome the inherent attendance bias

Magnaball Tweezer y'all
booo shenanigans.
Thanks Ryan and Neal for taking time to fix it - time you didn't really have.
I blame it on all vocal Goose haters. Literally the biggest collection of abject losers on earth.
Go Gooooooooose! and GOOSE FANS - the GOAT fanbase
Better at life and music than the haters. Not being performative. We're better.

I went tumble but either one of these is going into the buzzsaw EMG.

This all I need sends me. Rick was wearing a JOTY of the year shirt for this too, right? Classic. Hard pickings today, I love this tumble. But I have listened to this all I need many times since it happened and puts me in a good space.

Not a huge fan of either of these, neither will be my winner. But I will take the Dripfield here by quite a sizeable margin. It goes more interesting places. The tumble is beautiful but just not my cup of tea for a JOTY.
This isnβt about this matchup but the DH vs Drip. If youβre creating fake accounts to vote a song you like forward in a contest like this, you need to get a fucking life. This is all for fun. And all the music is amazing. Holy shit ππ

Westville was fun and the jam surge towards the end started by Pete is really good. The AIN in total is a slow climb to a great jam but not solid start to finish. Itβs a cult favorite. I was there and get it but it doesnβt really sound as good as Tumble on the play back.
AIN has such a good back half it gets my kindergartener dancing without even realizing it
1 week ago
Itβs AIN easily. Tumble is getting the Chicago fluff. Letβs let a real big kids jam get a spot in the final four.
This Tumble is highly superior in my opinion! AIN is very good but nowhere close to the jam of this Tumble. I am shocked it has this big of a lead at this point!
Chicago energy always rocks. This one was a dance party.
Already envisioning Wrigley on 9/19/26. Howβs that sound? Letβs go!

I honestly like both of these wonderfully blissful jams, but feel they're both "middle of the bracket" material. Would have definitely liked to see Toronto Pancakes winning this region, but what do I know.
Since I am impartial and like both equally, I'm gonna give the nod to All I Need. Not necessarily because I think itβs that much better, but because we've gotten a lot of fantastic Tumbles the past year or two, and I'd like to see this All I Need represent for at least one more round. I don't see it beating anything else left, but I don't see Tumble doing that either.
This Tumble already won in 2024. Yawn.
Let's step aside and give AIN a shot at the crown. Last time she made Final 4 was when 6/10/22 Legend Valley AIN was the rightful JOTY but got egregiously disrespected by Radhuvan
1 week ago
I've been voting for both of these so far, and I totally appreciate them both. I rewatched them today, and Amongster -> All I Need has that extra energy and groove factor, with every member locked in. They had an awesome run from Gilford --> MSG -> Westville, the groove in AIN with Trevor's masterpiece leading the charge where it slows down halfway through the jam and then Rick picks it back up and that took the cake for my vote
1 week ago
Going Tumble here, although neither of these jams were in my final four. In fact, I don't think either jam made my top sixteen. They're both awesome jams though, and both brought a tear to my eye the first time I heard them. In my mind, the highlight of both jams is the quiet segments the band finds in the middle. Really captivating.
It's still surprising to me that one of these jams will be in the final four but Grand Rapids Madhuvan won't be. Oh well. Everyone has a different way to Goose. Onward!
I wouldnβt have advanced either of these to the F4, but you take the world as you find it.
Both do that thing Goose does so well, tugging out our emotions. I just wish each of these found a way to do a bit more than they do, with that F4-worthy shift to the next phase or some more interesting evolution out of their vibey/blissy tropes.
Judged by what they do (and not what they donβt), Need does its thing better than Tumble. Easy vote for Need.

I voted Tumble here because IW@TS all the way in back dancing my ass off with some other incredible like-minded strangers for 24 solid minutes of good time.
We should do another day of voting for dusty V drippy, that is a terrible way to decide an elite 8 matchup
1 week ago
My easiest vote of the elite 8. Tumble gets my vote. I had Tumble as my #6 jam and this AIN as #14 jam. I think musically this Tumble is better and it had a far bigger impact on me personally. Give me Tumble!
I was at both these shows. And after both these songs I strayed to hyperbole and thought "JOTY material." I guess I wasn't too far off if they've both made it here, but one of these I have listened to, and relistened to, and put on my fave playlists, and danced in the shower to, and ultimately COULD be what I vote for in the final. And that is All I Need.
AIN is perfect, you could even tell by the way Peter talked on the pod that it came out of nowhere, which is what makes it such a great moment.
This tumble is good but doesnβt really come close for me.
I remember being at Westville, Sunday show, we were standing right in front of the soundboard, and although having heard it at a few times live previously, thinking to myself in that moment that it was the best AIN I'd experienced live. I don't think it translates as well after the fact, maybe I was influenced by the energy of the bowl at the time, IDK. But as with so many other of the recent matches, its soooooo close, I gotta go with AIN for that reason. Coulda gone either way though and I don't think there's a definitive right or wrong here.
Tumble gets my vote. The AIN is nice but it's too one dimensional. The Tumble has an excellent dance groove and a sweet bliss jam. I love it.
AIN is my JOTY. Hope it makes the final four and gets to face EMG which is my 1b choice. This Tumble could give it a run though.
The AIN jam can be broken down into stages of a great mushroom trip experienced with a group of your good friends
5:15-7:40: the crew has ingested, and theres a sense of general uneasiness mixed with excitement. Maybe a tinge of fear. Youβre all trying to acclimate to the onset of a psychedelic wave
7:41- 9:54- All have begun to adjust to the feeling. Happiness and tranquility all around. Smiles, laughter.
9:55-10:05- Uh-oh where is this going? Why are we here? A brief moment of collective self doubt.
10:06- Close - The most chill dude in the crew (somebody w/ a name like Trevor) gets the vibe right again. Youβre all on rocket ship to psychedelic paradise.
Also the song itself is played flawlessly. Itβs end of tour, theyβre relaxed and effortlessly locked in. Itβs probably what allows a jam like this to happen. Rickβs vocals are stellar. That doesnβt really matter for what weβre voting on here but happy that I get to have an amazing version of a classic Goose song followed by my JOTY. Send it πππ

Every time I listen to this AIN, I want to jump in the car and take a long drive. I just love its blissy propulsiveness and feeling of freedom. When I heard it live, it made the fight to get into Westville all worthwhile (those of you who were there know what I'm talking about).
Easily Tumble for me. Think it just does a similar kinda thing to the AIN, but just better. It has the prettier playing, a more soulful tone from Rick in the bliss peak & a second blistering peak out of a post jam breakdown. A truly Triumphant Tumble ππ½

Voting Tumble to earn the distinguished honor of losing to the mighty 2/8 EMG

I donβt feel like either of these should be JOTY but AIN I find to be more enjoyable by a decent margin
1 week ago
I was there for this Tumble but the AIN just moves⦠happy with either
1 week ago
This AIN is the only true build up to pure bliss peak that immerses you. Itβs a friggen journey to get there and once you do, my god. Kinda like really good s3xπ€ Gimme more! This is our 2025 JOTYπ
1 week ago
AIN has a great bliss peak at the end but too one dimensional to be JOTY. Tumble is a deep exploration worthy of the final four, send it!

2/8 EMG about to have a field day with either of these decent jams in the Final Four matchup
1 week ago
Iβve listened to both of these many times. Love em both. Itβs All I need for me. The jam just radiates beauty and emotion.
Leading up to this vote I hope everyone takes some time to listen to these jams side by side and ignore outside influences. This All I Need has a lot of loud public support and the AAT podcast has come out against this Tumble but donβt let all that noise influence your vote. Find a quiet place put some headphones in and listen to these jams side by side. Give Tumble its fair chance.
Iβll have more to say tomorrow.

All I Need is for this legendary JAM to ECHO its way from the MOUNTAINtops! Sorry Tumble, you fucking crushed but this is the end for u.
