In general, I could get a Drip at every show and never see Creatures again as it's my least favorite song in heavy rotation and be super happy. HOWEVER, this Creatures is so good that I had to set my bias aside and cast my vote for it.

It's funny that the PHX Hungersite was better than this Drip and the Creatures smokes the Drip as well. And it was a very, very good Dripfield.

I was at the Creatures show and the entire crowd went "wow...." with mouths agape after the song ended. We knew we witnessed something special.
I don't get the same feeling watching/listening to this Dripfield. It is still incredible, but doesn't have the wow factor the Creatures has. Do I wish the Creatures was a minute or two longer? Yep, but it's still a better JAM.

Don’t make me regret my inadvertent Dripfield vote

I will say this Creatures is really really fun. Love the vibe. Love Peter on this. That being said, it doesn’t get anywhere near the depth that the Drip does. This Drip can go far.

This Creatures reminds me of the Gilford Myst; absolute bangers live that don't quite translate in relistens and don't quite have the jam diversity to really compete past the first round. It's up there with the best Creatures ever, certainly in the last few years, but it's still a Creatures jam and it's up against an all-timer Drip. Sorry Creatures, while the voting suggests a close matchup it's not that close for me. Going Drip here.

Not surprised this is so close. These are both jams that I slept on but both are incredibly good. I think the Phoenix show was one of their best and largely due to this Drip. Going Drip by a drop.

Can’t say I’m really passionate about either of these and would much rather see GR Half-Step in this matchup, but it is what it is.

I found Creatures to be more fun and interesting throughout the jam, though it seemed to work really hard not to get anywhere at the end. I personally don’t love this Dripfield, likely because of the tone, which isn’t my favorite. I’d rather hear the Goosemas Dripfield, but to each their own. Exciting matchup though!

I've got Dripfield moving on in my bracket, but this Creatures has a lot more support than I expected it to have. Gonna have to go back and give them both another spin.

Im usually in favor of more compact and efficient jams and less in favor of inefficient longer ones when I build my bracket. (Sorry arrow jam fans) but this drip is kind of the exception I really enjoyed the groove and disco esc vibes of this drip even if it’s not the most efficient jam of the year.

This creatures is one of the best creatures in a long time and I really enjoyed it but it’s not really that close in my mind to this drip. A complete flip to my normal preferences as this creatures is arguably more efficient with its time then the drip. I just really like this Drip.

On an additional note, I wish we could "reply" to comments on here so I could yell at some of you!

This one is really tough for me. I like this Dripfield a lot, it's very good, but every time I listen to this Creatures jam I love it even more. It feels special to me. The peak is insane, and the build to it is really rewarding...the whole thing is so unexpected. I'm going Creatures here by a hair, but it's very close.

Such a tough matchup!!! Creatures was my #3 overall, Dripfield my #5.

Rick’s modulation/pedal smash during this Creatures peak is magnificent.

But see, this Drip…Big T and Cotter just lay down a massive Acela of a pocket for Rick and Peter to vibe around. Too often we use “patience” to excuse a lack of ideas. This one takes a good 10 minutes to find the idea, but the whole trip there is confident and relaxed.

And as for the idea when it does come… the idea is damn clean too! One of their best hooks of the year, with just two notes and a fill. Smokin

Great matchup but the bagel brigade supports Dripfield moving to the next round

Creatures by a nose. Drip is too boring. Inefficient.

Neither of these are super special in my opinion. Cool to see it is a pretty close vote though. I voted Dripfield, but certainly will not be voting for it in the next round. On a related note, it really is too bad that either of these continue on while the Half Step gets eliminated. That's just the way it is, some things will never change.

Dripfield all the way. That's not a knock on this Creatures, which is a great jam. Such a joyful burst of energy. It's just that this Drip has that "wow" factor - first with the epic rocking funky first jam, and then the even-more-epic distorted dark finale. Onward to the sweet 16!

I honestly don't see what everybody is seeing in this creatures. For me this is an easy peasy W for the dripfield, which may be the goatfield. Fantastic Trevor groove line gets things started immediately and it just evolves and morphs into a top notch jam from there.

Not saying this Creatures is the BEST jam of the year, but I am saying it's the most FUN jam of the year. The Dripfield rules too, had both ranked as personal 2-3 seeds, it's a win-win, but giving Creatures my vote here.

But for my preference, the 2nd best Drip of the year just eeks out the best Creature we've heard in years

Both of these rule but Creatures rules just a little bit more to my ears :)

This Dripfield suffers from being too long. It starts to feel repetive after a while. I enjoy the digital sauce, but it feels overpowering at times and loses its impact after 15 minutes of jamming.

This Creatures on the other hand, packs just as much impact in a far shorter jam. It’s a jam I can listen to anywhere and it can instantly make me feel happier. The band feels much more active in this Creatures aswell. Peter’s marimba is the MVP, a unique centerpiece beautifully highlighted in this jam. Trevor throws in some beautiful melodic sprinklings and Rick plays off of all of this very nicely. Don’t let the fact that this was played in an unbrodcasted show in Iowa fool you, this jam has serious impact.

There's just something about this Creatures that resonates with me a tad more than this Drip. I had them separated by only 2 spots in my bracket (#15 for Creatures, #17 for Drip) so they both are awesome versions, but the uniqueness of the Creatures gives it the edge for me...even though it appears it's going to get crushed.

Update: Things getting tighter! Can't wait to see this one wrap up in the morning. Great battle.

Easy pick for Drip. Creatures is a nice bliss jam but nothing spectacular. Drip is my fav type of goose territory where they find a sick groove and everyone just makes their instruments sound sick as fuck too. Love Cotters grooves here too!

I love both of these jams but went with Dripfield which I ranked 3 spots higher on my list.

This Creatures is very good, but this Drip is LEGIT. Possible GOAT version, easy win here

Dripfield absolutely steamrolls this Creatures imo - both incredible jams but there's just so much POWER behind this massive Drip

Only saw 6 shows last year, but was at both of these shows. And wow, this is a damn pickle. Probably the two best things I saw them play last year. The DRIPFIELD is so awesome cuz it’s so different from any other version but this creatures is one of the best pieces of live music I’ve ever seen. Definitely gonna get my vote in every round it’s still alive

Wow this is one spicy matchup. I didnt vote for Creatures in the last round but not because I dont like it, on the contrary. Tough call!
