Love both song, indifferent on both jams. I go with Myst cuz the intro was an interesting slightly different that the usual start. Tie breaker.

I’ve got attendance bias for both of these and Jacob’s was so special for me. My buddy and I went on a 5 night run Disco Biscuits > SCI > 3 nights of Goose, an β€œall timer.”

That being said FITS made that NH show worth the drive and takes this one.

FITS isn't going to win JOTY. It wins this one though. Seems more like a 4-13 to me

I wanted the Myst jam to be better than this FITS because I have a soft spot for Myst, but this FITS is simply a better jam and gets my vote

This FITS is the most overrated seeding in the entire tourney. Stays entirely within convention, with better versions of the chase and bliss sections at arm’s reach.

A brilliant and unique Myst with the ear worm melodic hooks we all yearn for in spades. Huge relisten value. Reminds me of Manchester Thatch in the precise way it’s underappreciated.

If ever there was a moment for a 15 vs. 2 upset, this is it. Myst.

The mighty titan FITS against a pretty-ok Myst.

Nothing wrong with this Myst. I would say every 2025 Myst was at least "good." But this isn't even in the same ballpark in terms of jam quality.

I had this Myst at #53 and definitely could have moved it higher. Just an awesome feel good vibes jam with the entire band locked in, not on the level of the GR Half-Step but a solid JV version of it. However it ain't going to #8, which is where I have this FitS. Unfair matchup but it doesn't make this Myst any less fun to listen to. Myst is good and will get many more listens from me, but the FitS is great.

This Myst is CRIMINALLY UNDERSEEDED. I will scream it from the rooftops, it deserves so much better. I had it running into the Suite 16 on my bracket. They flip a switch at around the 12:00min mark and from after that the best way I can describe it is a "victory lap jam". Sure it's not the most creative jam, but it's super solid. Feels like the credits rolling to a good movie, but then the opening notes of Hungersite come in afterwards and it's pure goosebumps. Strong work Goose. The fish in the sea is good but doesn't hold a candle to this Myst. Yet again the #2 seed disappoints.

Poor Cleveland Myst. It doesn’t deserve to get blown out but it will.

I can’t help but get so many feels listening to, writing about and even thinking of this Myst. It was my overall and heavily influenced by attendance bias #10. This is why we Goose. Earned my pity vote because the FITS was always going to win this particular competition, and I hate it may have to go up against the Bend Thatch to proceed

Amazing underheard and underloved jam from the overlooked night before MSG show. It gets better each time I listen to it.

I really dug this Myst and had it quite a bit higher than a 15 seed, but it is no match for this all-timer of a Fish In The Sea. I want this bad boy in the final four. Let's go FITS!

How the heckkkk is this Myst a 15 seed?!?!

Both really great jams. Big fan of the joyous nature of Myst so it gets my vote, but Fish is no slouch and covers a lot of cool ground. Year of the Myst?

FITS was my #4 jam this year. Just an amazing jam from a highly under appreciated Gilford show.

Despite being in Cleveland for this show at Jacob’s… this Fish in the Sea is bonkers, and I’ve gotta give credit where credit is due. I love the Middle-Eastern vibe they find, and how long they stay in that lane. I don’t think this beats Thatch for the Lazy Region, but I bet it makes it there... and puts up one helluva fight.

FITS gets my vote here, an excellent jam I had in my top 10. This Myst is also solid and glad it’s getting some love. Enjoyed it live in Cleveland but it doesn’t really stand a chance in this matchup.

Going FITS because it's one of the year's best (and my no. 17 overall). But we'll have time enough to discuss that one.

So glad this Myst (my no. 55 overall) made the bracket. It's not groundbreaking, and it's not terribly unique or varied. But it's cohesive, full-band jamming that makes you FEEL something. It's got that nostalgic, uplifting quality that Goose conjures better than anyone else.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention Milwaukee Myst 2/8/25 here. I have attendance bias for that one, but I had it ranked higher than this version from Cleveland. Both jams come from the same sonic family. I'd say the Milwaukee version is less nostalgic but more joyful. Take a listen if you haven't yet. It's one of the more underrated jams of the year IMHO.

I love this Myst dearly, it came exactly when I needed it that night as part of one of the best all around shows Goose put on this year. I go back to it often. However, Gilford's Myst built upon and bested it, and the Fish was even better. Sayonara! I'll always remember u.
